About the area

Koog aan de Zaan is located to the northwest of Amsterdam. Koog aan de Zaan is divided into two residential areas, Old Koog aan de Zaan (also called Old Koog for short) and the relatively newer Westerkoog. Westerkoog was formerly, when the district was new, popularly called 'Havezathe', after the Rotterdam project developer at the time.



The apartments

Through the backyard you can walk right into the nature reserve on the Gouw. Thus, the apartments (1982) offer space for residents. Accessibility

Station Koog aan de Zaan is located on the south side of the village. At the border with Zaandijk is the train station Zaandijk Zaanse Schans located. In addition to train access, the stations also provide pedestrian and bicycle connections between the two Koog neighborhoods.
